Jerry Mendez is the founder of ACOM-SPORTS LLC. Jerry Mendez has
been involved in martial arts since the age of six. Training in such
martial arts as Kyokushin, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai and
Boxing. He has refereed over 1000 fights and has put together world
championshp caliber events throughout the East coast in the U.S. His
first tournament attracted over 150 competitors and was the first
Submission Grappling event to get approved by the NY State Athletic
Commission. He is a true fan of the martial arts and is always willing
to help other promoters with their events. He has also promoted some
of the most talented fighters in the country. Some who have even
made it to the UFC. Fighters such as Frankie Edgars, Dante Rivera,
Tamdan McCrory, Chris Ligouri, Brian Vetell, Dan Miller and Jim Miller.
